February 25th - LADIES NIGHT - At 7pm come in for an ALL-FEMALE night just for YOU. Come dressed up or dressed down. The choice is yours! Join us in watching a FREE private bellydance show performed by Qamara Bellydance of Columbus. Afterwards, Qamara will give you some tips on the seductive dance. If you're interested in more, you can sign up for weekly lessons held here at the gallery. Those of you over age 18 step inside the back boudoir parlor for a Ladies FUN PARTY sponsored by Naughty Nite Dreams. Eye Candy Girl Modeling Audition forms and audition dates will be available to those of you who want to try out. We're interested in women of all flavors... meaning all ages (over 18, that is), sizes, colors, and styles. Pick up a workshop schedule/calendar that includes burlesque tassel making (and twirling) classes, plus photography workshops, Photo Marathon Specials, Mailyn Monroe project photo days, and our next month's events! Up-coming brides and high school seniors can pick up one of our special package coupons, and female vendors will show their items and projects. Last but not least, we're slowly transforming the gallery into a new female boutique - DELISH! - that'll feature clothing, shoes, female-made artwork, interior pieces, and more! Plus, Diane Mechem Kinser will be signing copies of her books, "I own my Soul: The Black Diamond Conenant" and "The Mourning of Amalie" from 2-5pm and 6-9 pm in our gallery. Bring the kids and color pictures to hang on our walls!!

Getting inventory for the new up-coming store... DELISH !!

A few of the items I recently purchased. Can't guarantee they'll always be in stock, but these are the types of things I'll be carrying in the lingerie part, as well as a few of the pin-up type dresses I'll carry. Of course, I will carry LOTS more items... shoes, coats, more dresses, costumes, panties, etc... but I wanted to start building my inventory and nabbing up items that I was particularly fond of.

If there's something out there that YOU think we should carry, please let us know. We'd like to include lots of items, making this a one-stop shop --- offering the beauty workshops you may need, the fun dance/workout classes you want, the shoes you want to strut in, the clothes you crave, the photos you may splurge on, the events that make you smile... and all in the environment you love! That's what DELISH will be. So if you have any ideas, we're open to hearing them!

Happy Valentine's Day...

So I've been giving the gallery space a whole lotta thought, and I think a space this big would be better suited for something like, well... a lingerie/ shoe/ clothing/ sexy costume/jewelry/ pinup/ rockabilly/ cabaret/ burlesque - ish boutique.

And I wanna call it DELISH !!

Pink pretty walls, lots of photos and clothes and little pretties to look at. Dance lessons in the evening - such as burlesque, hulahoop, bellydancing and flirty aerobics. Ladies Nights out parties with food and drink, music and no men to oogle everyone. Show women's artwork, and of course, sell delicious chocolates and other candies.

Plus, the photography studio would be in the back. We could bring in hair and makeup folks (hold lots of helpful workshops) and even do fun extra activities - like auctioning off some hot guys or hiring them to serve us at a swanky brunch.

hmmmm..... the possibilities are endless!!!

We're attending another show on February 12th with Boxcar Burlesque at the Union in Athens at 10pm.

Many of you ladies have asked me for some ideas as how to dress a little - or a lot - burlesque(ish).
